New Bundle of Joy

A close friend of mine just had her second little boy and allowed me to snap some pics of him last week. We have had terribly bad weather lately so sunlight was not my friend! He is absolutely perfect!

Yes, I make deals with my kids all the time. Does that make me a bad mom? I like to think that it makes me a smart mom.
"Bella, if you try on your new dress and let me take a pictures so I can send them to Grandma you can pick something out of the prize box."
"Even candy?"
"Yes, even candy!"



She was a good sport, it is taking me a while to figure out my settings and making adjustments but she just waited patiently...probably deciding which piece of candy would ruin her dinner the best!



I know this picture is blurry but I just really liked it. Slides haven't been used for sliding at our house for a while...much more fun to scare mom by running as fast as you can down them.

whew!!!

2 weeks ago I started my photography course and it is kicking my butt!!! One thing it is doing is forcing me to take pictures for no reason and playing around with all kinds of different settings I didn't even know I had on my camera! Karen is a great teacher and if you ever have the opportunity to take a class from her I promise you will not be disappointed! Here are a few from yesterday (it poured here all afternoon so no outside shots):

Summer is here!

Last week Preston finished up the 2nd grade and is now out for the summer, so there will be a whole lot of this...

And hopefully a whole lot of this too...


This weekend we were fortunate enough to be invited for a ride and dinner along the beautiful St. John's River. My kids love the water and the friends we went with had a little man that loves the water too! Hopefully my summer will be filled with fun on the water and fun with friends.
